The tree comes down.
Your yard stays put.

Removals, pruning, stump grinding and storm work for properties where the tree is too close to something expensive. Climbed and rigged when a drop is not an option — and the ground raked out before we leave.

What we handle

The whole job, not just the tree

One leaning maple, or forty years of brush along a fence line. Either way you get the property back in better shape than we found it.

A climber roped to a bare spar alongside a two-storey house.

Tree removal

Some trees can be dropped whole. Most of the ones we get called about cannot — they are over a garage, beside a pool, tangled in a service line. Those get climbed and taken down a piece at a time, every section lowered on a rope rather than dropped.

An arborist in safety gear working with a saw inside a leafy canopy.

Pruning & canopy work

Pruning is closer to surgery than to a haircut. Deadwood and crossing limbs out, the canopy lifted off your roof and driveway, and every cut made at the collar so the wound seals instead of rotting back into the trunk.

A wide, weathered tree stump left standing in a residential lawn.

Stump grinding

Taken down well below grade, not just shaved level, so you can sod it, plant it, or run a mower straight over the top of it. The grindings go with us or stay to backfill the hole — your call.

A tracked excavator clearing standing timber and brush.

Lot & fence line clearing

Fence rows swallowed by honeysuckle, back acres nobody has walked in a decade, building sites that need to be bare ground. We take it out and grind down what is left behind.

A pickup bed loaded with cut wood, ready to be hauled out.

Hauling & cleanup

Part of the quote, never a line item added afterwards. Logs loaded out, brush through the chipper, ruts raked flat and the drive blown off before the truck pulls away.

Fresh bark mulch and wood chips in sunlight.

Mulch & wood chips

Your tree does not have to leave the property to be useful. We will chip it and spread it through your beds and paths, or drop a load of clean hardwood chips any time you want more.

A large tree down across a road, branches and debris behind a safety barrier.

Any hour · 24/7

When it comes down at midnight

A trunk across the driveway, a limb through the porch roof, a leader hung up in the service drop. Call and we will tell you straight whether it is an emergency or whether it is safe to leave until daylight — plenty of them are, and we would rather say so than sell you a midnight job.

Why people call us back

The tree is the easy part

Anyone with a saw can put a tree on the ground. Getting it down over a fence, a flowerbed and a septic lid without leaving a mark on any of them is the part you are actually paying for.

  • Covered before the first cut

Licensed, bonded and insured. We bring the certificate to the estimate, and we would rather you asked for it.

  • BBB accredited

Easy to look up before you let a stranger with a chainsaw into your back yard — which is exactly what you should do.

  • You get the same people

Miami Valley based and owner-run. Whoever walks the property and quotes the job is on site the day it happens.

  • Sized for lawns

Machines meant for yards, not logging roads. Mats where they are needed, and we say up front if anything heavy has to cross grass.

What to expect

From the first call to the last rake

Four steps, and you know the price before any of them start.

  1. 01

Tell us what is worrying you

Which tree, how close to what, and whether it is still standing. Any hour.

  2. 02

    We walk the property

Free, in person, usually within a couple of days. A photo will not show us the lean, the rot pocket or the way in.

  3. 03

    The tree comes down

Climbed and rigged wherever a drop is not safe. Insured, and the crew that quoted it is the crew doing it.

  4. 04

    You get your yard back

Wood hauled or stacked, brush chipped, ruts raked. The only evidence is the gap in the skyline.

Before you call

Fair questions

Everything below is what we would tell you standing in your driveway.

How much does it cost to take a tree down?

It depends far less on the tree than on what is underneath it. The same maple is one price in an open field and three times that leaning over a garage and a service drop. That is why we look in person, and why the estimate is free.

Are you insured, and can I see it?

Licensed, bonded and insured, and BBB accredited. We will bring the certificate to the estimate. Ask any tree company for it — the ones who hesitate are the reason homeowners end up with a claim on their own policy.

How close to the house can you work?

As close as it needs to be. Anything that cannot be dropped safely gets climbed and rigged down in pieces, each one lowered on a line rather than allowed to fall. That is normal work here, not a special case.

What happens to the wood and the mess?

It leaves with us unless you want it. Logs cut to firewood length and stacked, chips spread on your beds, or the whole lot hauled off. Tell us at the estimate and it is priced in either way.

Do you answer the phone at night?

Yes. And we will tell you honestly whether what you are looking at is an emergency or whether it will keep until morning. Half the storm calls we take turn out to be safe to leave overnight, and we would rather say so than sell you a midnight job.

How far do you travel?

Most work is inside about a thirty-minute drive of the valley — Dayton, Springfield, Troy, Piqua and the towns between. Larger removals and clearing jobs are worth a longer trip, so call and ask even if your town is not on the list.
